The Fulton County jail leadership has resigned in the wake of Lashawn Thompson's death.

Fulton County Sheriff says he asked for and accepted the resignation of the county's chief jailer in the wake of the death of Lashawn Thompson. Sheriff Patrick Labat also asked for the resignation of two assistant chief jailers.

Thompson died last summer after spending three months in police custody on a misdemeanor assault charge.
