Psalm 56: In this Psalm, David expresses his trust in God despite being captured by the Philistines. He calls out to God to be gracious to him, and he acknowledges that God is on his side. David also calls out his enemies, saying that they twist his words and plot against him, but he remains steadfast in his faith in God. He ends the Psalm by saying that he will fulfill his vows to God and give thanks to him.

Psalm 120: This Psalm is a plea for deliverance from deceitful tongues. The Psalmist cries out to God, saying that he is surrounded by lying lips and deceitful tongues. He expresses his weariness of living among those who hate peace and desire war. He then turns to God and asks for deliverance from these wicked people, saying that he has been living too long among those who hate peace.

Psalm 140: In this Psalm, the Psalmist calls out to God for protection from violent and wicked people. He asks God to deliver him from those who plan evil in their hearts and make war against him. He says that these people set traps for him, spread nets to catch him, and dig pits in his path. Despite this, he trusts in God to protect him and defeat his enemies. He ends the Psalm by declaring that the Lord is the defender of the oppressed and the just.

Psalm 141: This Psalm is a plea for guidance and protection in times of temptation. The Psalmist asks God to guard his mouth and keep him from speaking evil words. He also asks for protection from the wicked who seek to trap him. The Psalmist then expresses his desire to receive correction from the righteous, saying that their rebukes will be like oil on his head. He ends the Psalm by declaring that his eyes are fixed on God and that he trusts in him to protect him from his enemies.

Psalm 142: This Psalm is a cry for help in a time of desperation. The Psalmist feels alone and persecuted, and he calls out to God for help. He says that he has no one to turn to except for God, who is his refuge and his portion in the land of the living. The Psalmist then describes his distress, saying that his enemies have set a trap for him, and there is no one who cares for him. Despite this, he remains steadfast in his faith in God and declares that he will praise him for his goodness.
