Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in intensive care.

So, we’ve got a reader that writes us that they’re having multiple issues in ICU. They don’t trust the intensive care team and they think they’re covering up for mistakes. They’re not answering their questions and they won’t let them look at medical records.

So, if you are encountering a situation like that, my advice is to speak to us to begin with. And also, we can help you get access to the medical records. Again, it doesn’t really matter where you are. Having access to the medical records is a right, not a privilege. And then, we can help you look at medical records, but we can also talk to doctors and nurses directly and find out what’s going on.

The biggest challenge for families in intensive care is simply that they don’t know what they don’t know. They don’t know what to look for. They don’t know what questions to ask. More importantly, they don’t know their rights and they don’t know how to manage doctors and nurses in intensive care and that’s where we can help you with here at intensivecarehotline.com.

We can turn things around very quickly for you once you have a team of clinicians on your team because we speak the intensive care language. There’s also an aspect of that families in intensive care, simply don’t know what questions to ask and they don’t know what to look for. And when someone is in intensive care, the devil is in the detail. And because the devil is in the detail, you need to know what questions to ask and go from there.

Now, if you have a loved one in intensive care, go to intensivecarehotline.com. Call us on one of the numbers on the top of our website or send us an email to support@intensivecarehotline.com.

Please also check out our membership for families in intensive care at intensivecaresupport.org, where you can have access to me and my team, and also to other families in intensive care. It’s for like-minded people.

Also, if you need a medical record review, contact us as well. We can help you with medical record reviews while your loved one is in intensive care, or once they’ve left intensive care. Again, if you’re worried about medical negligence or any foul play, we can help you with all of that.
