How much would this cost in a store?

Fall plus rain = ... MUSHROOMS!

Today we walk around the food forest, just collecting what we find, making a soup, and saving say 200 bucks in meals. All in under 10 minutes.

People sometimes ask me how much a food forests costs. Well, there may be an upfront cost (which you can minimize by buying young trees and sourcing free materials like compost and woodchips). But make no mistake. Food forests don't cost money. They generate income. They save you money. They are truly a no brainer thing to do - for your health, for nature, for the planet, for climate change, for your happiness, for your temperment, for your soul, or just simply for financial reasons. These things are money printing machines.

One of the most important things it gives you may be the high levels of vitamin K. This is something that we evolved with an abundance of (walking around outside, foraging and hunting) and now get barely any as we live inside our homes and office buildings and school classrooms. Infact, many doctors believe many of the health problems we see these days can be directly linked to vitamin K deficiency.

Many problems can be linked to vitamin K deficiency, such as Osteoporosis and Coronary Heart Disease to name just two. For more information on the importance of Vitamin K, here is a good resource:
