Singapore Halts Policy Tightening After First-Quarter GDP Slump

Singapore's central bank is keeping its monetary policy settings steady unchanged after gross domestic product data that showed the island-state's economy contracted more than expected in the first quarter. The Monetary Authority had tightened its policy five straight times since October 2021.
