FORGIVENESS WITH BOUNDARIES
Colossians 3:13 New King James Version
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY DEAR FRIENDS!!!
Let me ask you this my friends.
When has someone hurt you?
What did you learn from that moment?
When I saw these questions in this morning's devotional, I really had a lot of memories brought back to me on this. I remember many a moment, that I was hurt by people I trusted, people i was supposed to respect, admire, and yes even love. When these individuals inflicted their sinful hurt against me, I learned immediately who to trust and who not to trust, but also was given a very warped view of how I was supposed to respond to their hurt, and it wasn't until I went to college, and got the help I so badly needed to heal from the wounds of my past. I was also able to not only forgive, but also to learn how to set healthy and biblical boundaries against those who did hurt me.
I'd like to share some things that God has shown me throughout these many years, as well as what he showed me from his word this morning, through this vlog I’d like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you, will help you see not only what it really means to forgive, but also how to set boundaries against those who have hurt you. Come join me in this flag tonight my friends, and learn for yourself how to forgive, and have boundaries to protect yourself! 😊
So, as I close this post for tonight, I offer this hope for anyone out there who has been wounded, hurt, and betrayed. First and foremost, to anyone that was sexually violated as a child, and/or violated by a so-called man of God, know that you are not at fault, and that what was done to you was wrong! Don't be afraid to not only set healthy and effective boundaries against the one that has wronged you, but also to seek real justice, even if it means that others shun you for holding the criminal accountable for their actions. Remember too that forgiveness is not based on any type of ‘forgetfulness’, or the minimalization of another person's pain, but on the willingness to expose the truth of what happened, so that person can truly heal. Above all I pray that you will look to the One who suffered the ultimate in humiliation, shame, and agony, to set you free from sin, and that you hand the hurt of your past over to Him!
UNTIL SUNDAY EVERYONE:
HAVE A SWEET, PEACEFUL, AND BLESSED EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
