Germany calls on China to use influence with Russia to end war

Germany's foreign minister Annalena Baerbock has held high level talks with her counterpart Qin Gang in Beijing. The two discussed China's tensions with Taiwain, Beijing's human rights record and the war in Ukraine. China - an ally of Russia - announced it will not supply weapons to Moscow. Baerbock said that no other country has more influence on Russia than China, and she called on Beijing to exert this influence on the Kremlin to bring the war in Ukraine to an end.
