France 24 TV channel made a story about Russian fighters and called Ukraine's counteroffensive "hostile"

The plot of 1 minute 34 seconds was published on the website of the TV channel on April 13. The material in English was published under the heading: "The war in Ukraine: Russian troops are preparing for battle before a counteroffensive."

"About 30 kilometers from the front line, in a secret place, Russian troops are preparing for battle. Most of the soldiers here are not professionals, they are drafted from Siberia. They have already visited the front, and now they are preparing to return there," the plot of the French journalists begins.

In the plot, the Russian military boasts that their weapons are better than Western ones, in particular, Leopard tanks. One of the heroes of the plot also says that he "honorably defends the history" of his country.

Another Russian conscript says in the material that he is "not afraid of death," but is afraid that his "children will be left without a father, and his wife without a husband."

Another Russian soldier said he was not afraid of a counteroffensive by Ukrainian troops, which the journalist, quoting his "hero," called "enemy." "Everything breaks down, everything is killed. There are no invincibles," the Russian soldier declares.

Later, France 24 deleted the video, and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko criticized the French channel.

"The France 24 story about the Russian military who are preparing to kill Ukrainians is a disgrace to journalism. Entering the occupied territories without the consent of Ukraine violates Ukrainian legislation, and those involved in such actions will be held accountable according to the law," he said on Twitter.
