WNBA player Brittney Griner was awarded by Al Sharpton at a women empowerment event in Manhattan on Thursday April 13, 2023. She was awarded for her strength exhibited during her detainment in Russian prison. This award comes on the heels of her instagram announcement of the release of her memoir soon.
