So in the background someone was filming a movie they were using a repeater. We made sure we were not interfering with the repeater operations. They could not hear us at all due to their coding, but we were getting solid responses about a mile apart on the USA GMRS band channel 16 and at quite a few valleys apart. Nice solid Roger beeps, very clear. Highly recommend these, It really works great when you’re hiking long distance to hike at your own pace. That may mean being separated a bit, also when going vertical you can be under your partner. Its real nice to be able to explain whats next, and what you see.
