Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is a 1994 comedy film starring Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura, an animal detective who is tasked with finding the abducted dolphin mascot of the Miami Dolphins football team. The film was a commercial success after having grossed $107M from a budget of $15M. The film was the launcher of Jim Carrey’s career and spawned a sequel one year later.
