The Lakers Should Be Taken VERY Seriously

After missing the playoffs last season, the Lakers started this year 2-10. Many claimed the team was unfixable, that LeBron would ask out, and that they had no path to contention. However, often-criticized GM Rob Pelinka rebuilt the team at the 2023 trade deadline, adding key players like Jarred Vanderbilt, D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Rui Hachmura. The team went 18 and 9 after the trade deadline, climbing all the way from 13th in the standings to 7th. Yet with the NBA’s play-in tournament, this didn’t guarantee the Lakers anyway. The Lakers were playing the Minnesota Timberwolves last night for the right to play the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers found themselves down 11 points at the half, but they battled back thanks to a great performance from LeBron James and clutch plays from Dennis Schroder. The team’s biggest concerns over the course of the season have been injuries and lack of depth. The team now finds itself with both stars LeBron and AD healthy, and with more depth than ever thanks to the deadline deals and breakout play of Austin Reaves. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis, this team can beat anyone. The Los Angeles Lakers are contenders once again.

Think about subbing, I'm on the road to 7k!!!
