Unethical: Gender Mutilation Therapy

There is a major problem in the field of mental health. The organizations are not supporting evidenced based practices but jumping onto the bandwagon of politically popular gender mutilation therapy to the detriment of clients. It is not a counselor's job to solidify a client's identity that would be an imposition of values.
