Roof Cleaning By Pressure Washing & Soft Washing Cambridge.

Welcome all to a roof cleaning job that has a, frankly disturbing reason for me being hired.
This job came from a customer that explained to me she previously had a couple of men knock at her front door, asking if she would like her roof cleaned, and offering a test patch to show her how clean they could get it. My customer being very kind and quite timid, and in her mind, not wanting to offend the men by saying "no not interested" like a lot of people might, simply said she hadn't really thought about it, and that it's unlikely she could afford it, in the hope that would put them off and they would then leave. But they didn't. They took her trying to be polite, as someone they could bully and harass into accepting the job. So while one of them was giving her a sales pitch as to what they would do, how it would benefit her, and that they'll give her an example, the other man had turned on their pressure washer unwinded their high pressure hose, got out a step ladder and proceeded to pressure wash a patch of her garage roof.
So before she really new what was going on, my customer had this very noticeable test patch in the middle of her garage roof (sadly they do this deliberately to try and force people into accepting the job) and one of the men saying to her quite forcibly, that they will carry on, and they'll do it for this price, so on and so forth. By this time my customer was feeling extremely intimidated, so she asked them to leave, which they wouldn't, proceeding to tell her that they would do it for half the price they originally quoted, now that they're already set up and have started. It took my customer telling them to leave her roof alone and then to start dialling the police for them to actually pack up their stuff and get off her property.
Unfortunately this is not an uncommon story you hear happening to people in the UK. Only last year I did a video about this when a couple had the very same thing happen to them with their driveway.
Don't get me wrong, if a legitimate company approaches people in a friendly manner, and doesn't try to intimidate, or has been invited, I don't have any issue with test patches, they're actually a very good way to win jobs. But not when they've been carried out in the shameful manner in which these men carried this out. All it does is just give our industry, especially roof cleaning, a bad name.

Thanks for reading this explanation behind the video, and I hope you enjoy watching the transformation. And on a lighter note, the customer was extremely happy with the end result, and is content in knowing that no one else will knock on her door anytime soon offering to clean her roof, as it's now impeccably clean, and will stay that way for many years to come ❤️.
