Underage Marriages at Radical Mosque Shock Philadelphia Community

Reports from the Clarion Intelligence Network have found that a Philadelphia mosque has been facilitating marriages between adult men and underage girls. The Masjid Uthman Dan Fodiyo mosque has been linked to other extremist mosques and organizations. Sources aware of an ongoing investigation claim that these illegal marriages have been happening for years. In one instance, a 14-year-old girl was forced to marry a man more than twice her age who also allegedly abused her 10-year-old sister. The imam of the mosque was allegedly involved in organizing and officiating these marriages for years.

Rajmann Sanders, the man accused of marrying the 14-year-old girl, now faces charges of rape, indecent assault, and forcible compulsion, among others. He is also accused of threatening to shoot one of his victims after assaulting her. The imam of the mosque allegedly involved in these marriages is being investigated along with the mosque's activities. The victims have been placed in protective custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
