South Carolina Republicans Refuse to Forego Prohibition Mindset- No to Terminally Ill Need For Weed

South Carolina conservatives Show their true colors once again. In a time when Conservativism and evangelicalism are melding into an extreme right wing party unlike any reoublican party we've seen before. And South Carolina just touted that aesthetic a little more by declining to even consider past "nope" a bill that would have been the STRICTEST cannabis policy in the UnitedStates.
No cannabis smoking or vaporizing would be allowed, only edibles,tinctures, salves and rso would be available for only the MOST TERMINALLY ILL. This idea this policy is strictly based on. The closed minded conservative and republican idea that cannabis Smoking, the image of a person smoking a pipe or joint is "a bad thing".
Due to the imagery associated with prohibition and the war on drugs, the main form of consumption is the one way they wanted to refuse to allow in any way. And the logic isn't there. Especially if intoxication is the concern and regardless of what Conservatives say, they do t want people getting a head change.
The fact that cannabis was consumed mostly through flower combustion and now concentrate and distillate vaporization, the. Those must be bad and not good for you. This is the mindset. No science to proove it. Heck even if one wanted the science it wasn't allowed to be studied until 2022 yes this year the U.s allowed cannabis studies onhumans, 2 years after they said we could do tests.
Then with all that there's also the question of allowing Cops to use Cannabis off duty. I have my problems with this since for 30 years we were told that cannabis Smoking could cause depth perception issues up to 48 hours after use.
That was supposedly with mids of the early 2000s, so how is an officer going to use the potent cannabis of today and be ready to work uninhibited?
