This is a cool fly for Texas Cichlids and panfish, carp find it appetizing. It’s a #6 hook and it’s not wind resistance so can be thrown on a 2wt. There’s not much to this fly a rubber leg folded in half, bead chain eyes, lead wire, two different colors of dubbing and the ends of a marabou feather. The lead wire is folded in half and tied length wise on the bottom of the hook shank and the bead chain eyes are tied onto the lead wire. This is done to lower the center of gravity of this fly to insure it lands hook point up. A dubbing noodle is made to ensure that the butt of the fly looks buggy and is wrapped bulky to separate the legs and the legs go over the eyes and not thread wrapped past the back of the eyes. Another dubbing noodle is made to make the thoracic area of the fly, leave a spot behind the eyes. This space is used to tie down a dubbing loop which has the marabou tips. Spin the dubbing loop and wrap behind the eyes and tie down. The head is made with a real skinny dubbing noodle. This helps push back the marabou collar and split the front legs apart. Tie the head off and fish this fly.
