NYC appoints “rat czar” to tackle rodent infestation

New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced Wednesday the appointment of Kathleen Corradi to Director of Rodent Mitigation. Corradi will work alongside several city departments to cut off rat food sources and exterminate the city’s extensive rodent population. A 2014 study by Columbia University estimated that around 2 million rats live in New York City.
