Elijah Norton is an #arizonafirst candidate, whose great-great-great grandfather Elijah Hise Norton, served in #congress during the #american #civilwar one of the primary authors of the Missouri #constitution a Missouri Supreme Court Justice and was a driving force against Missouri’s succession from the Union.

While other young adults his age were wondering which path to choose, at age 21, while attending college, Elijah used $1,000 he had saved up to start his own business in the finance and insurance industry.
Ten years later his company employs over 100 people and operates throughout the United States, Canada, Chile, and Europe.
In 2015 he expanded his business, moved to #arizona and today Elijah calls #scottsdale home.
As a successful business owner, one of Elijah Norton's main concerns is the "constant spending by Congress and their inability to balance the budget."

Incumbent Opponent: @DavidSchweikert
In 2020, the House Ethics Committee ordered Schweikert to pay a $50,000 fine and reprimanded him after finding "substantial reason to believe" he broke 11 House ethics rules.
That included campaign finance violations and errors in reporting by his campaign committees as well as pressuring staff members to perform campaign duties.
The House Ethics Committee also knocked Schweikert for his "lack of candor and due diligence" during the two-year investigation.
