In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) revealed that the FBI utilized an undercover employee to inform their leaked report on domestic extremism among Catholic Americans.

According to CBS News, the House Judiciary Committee sent a subpoena to Wray on Monday, asking for data connected to its inquiry into the FBI’s “domestic violent extremism investigations against Catholic Americans.” The probe was launched in response to the January 23 release of an FBI Richmond Field Office letter alleging that Roman Catholic groups who prefer the Latin mass are vulnerable to “anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ, and white supremacist ideology.”
