💬 LESSON DESCRIPTION:
If we’re playing a chord progression, how can we play our own bassline to connect the chords?
In this video I’m going to talk about walking between chords on guitar.
This technique can bring a very basic chord progression to life in a fun way.
There are so many options and there’s no “one right way” to do it.
I’ll show you how we can start practicing walking between chords on guitar in a systematic way, starting with notes inside the scale, then moving to notes outside the scale, while consistently increasing the number of bass notes that connect each chord.
Practicing walking between chords systematically first allows us to know our choices, after which we can mix and match basslines by cherry picking our favorite sounds.
I hope you enjoyed this lesson about walking between chords on guitar and found it beneficial. Let me know what you thought in the comments.
Thanks! :)
