We know what's being added to the curriculum, but do you know what is being left OUT? Paul Rossi is a high school mathematics teacher, tutor, writer, and musician. He has been tutoring since 2007 and taught math at Grace Church School from 2012 to 2021. His essay "I Refuse to Stand by While My Students are Indoctrinated" [link] was published in April 2021. He's done a bevy of podcasts with hosts such as as Jordan Peterson and Megyn Kelly. He graduated with a B.A. in French Literature from Cornell in 1992, and got an M.A. in Educational Psychology at Hunter College in 2010. Dr. Teresa Sanders is a certified K-12 Special Education teacher who works primarily with students who require more attention and support to achieve socially and academically.

She has 14 years of experience teaching in Texas public schools, a bachelor’s degree in Human Services, a master’s degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction, and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.

Dr. Sanders is a former public-school educator who left public education and started an innovative micro school in east Texas. Safari Small Schools. Exasperated by the persistent failure permitted in the public school system, Dr. Sanders started Safari Small Schools to meet the needs of students in grades PreK-3rd whose needs are not being met in the traditional classroom. Dr. Sanders is an outspoken advocate helping families navigate special education and other school-related services. She also serves as an education resource in the community and is very involved in literacy attainment for children and adults.

John H. Wilson, III became the full-time Education and Enrichment Program (EEP) Director in 2006 at West Angeles Church after earning his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University and enjoying a 20-year career as an aerospace engineer and years of volunteer youth work in his church and community.

His region-wide outreach includes coaching math teachers and consulting with charter school staff to help them build strong math curriculums. John has also served on several community boards at El Camino Community College, received the Vertie Blackwell Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, El Camino Community Service Award in 2007, and the NAACP Man of Valor Award in 2006 and 2010. John has 3 successful grown children and is married and lives in Long Beach.

Dissident Teacher is anonymous because she is still teaching in a CA school. She reports from behind the scenes, and with the insight she's developed from decades of teaching some of the most "at-risk" students in America. She currently maintains a Substack aimed at offering the macro view of traditional American public schools so you can calculate the true cost of “free” public education to your family.

Her mission is to inform and empower parents so you won't allow the insecurities the government school system imbued in you keep you from doing what’s best for your children now.

Michael Malione is a private math instructor and tutor from California. A Harvard graduate himself, he has witnessed the degradation of standards in mathematics specifically, and now fights any further harm to math students by educating parents about the proposed CA Math framework which is focused primarily on "equity" rather than effective math education. He helped create the website www.savemath.net where parents can learn more about why the proposed framework is a step in the wrong direction.

Ray Raymond has a teaching career spanning 29 years in both public and private schools from the kindergarten to the university level. He is still employed in the California public schools system.

He's also spent 10 years as Master Teacher (teaching education students who are finishing their degrees by having them internship in his classroom).
