If you're walking along at night in Istanbul and a friendly man starts talking to you, watch out. You will end up at bar where after two or three drinks you will be presented with a bill for anywhere from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. Your options will then be to withdraw the sum from via an ATM and pay the bill off or be beaten up. The police don't care.
