Who Do You Trust? Powell Or The Bond Market

In 2010, Ben Bernanke promised that Quantitative Easing (Q.E.) 1 would be a temporary solution with no consequences. Similarly, Powell said last year that inflation would be temporary. However, they have to use words to deny the math. The question is, who do you listen to? Powell or the bond market? In 2022, the talk is about Powell being a superstar like Volcker, but the situation is different now than in the 1970s. It is disingenuous for Powell to pretend to be like Volcker.
