Before Riff Raff gained mainstream attendion on MTV’s From G’s to Gent’s, Before he was widely considerd James Franco’s inspiration in the film Spring Breakers, Before he was arm candy for Katy Perry and hanging out with likes of Drake and Justin Beiber. Before he released Neon Icon.

He grew up suburban middle class and was a basketball fanatic who wore a collared shirt and blue jeans, he idolized Vanilla Ice but wasn’t into music in his own right until his twenties, for a short time he attended Community College and played bball on the school team but dropped out.

Riff Raff was born Horst Simco in Houston, Texas, on January 29, 1982. Horst was the second of four siblings. His mother Anita Simco, worked as a maid, and his father Ronald Simco, is a Vietnam War veteran.
