"PADRE, E' GIUNTA L'ORA" (Bilingual) by Millennium Choir

From the album-CD, "MAGNIFICAT" (http://www.beppecantarelli.com/magnificatchoir.html), a compilation of religious and 'inspirational' selections in ancient Latin and Italian, composed, arranged, conducted & produced by BEPPE CANTARELLI and performed by his MILLENNIUM CHOIR, a multi-ethnic and multi-denominational choir based in Los Angeles and founded by CANTARELLI himself along with PATRICE A. WHITED CANTARELLI and SUSAN YOUNGBLOOD.

On January 1997, BEPPE CANTARELLI was asked by MOTHER MARIA LUIGIA AGUZZI, the badess at the Roman Sanctuary of the “MADONNA DEL DIVINO AMORE” in Rome, to compose a new “MAGNIFICAT” for POPE JOHN PAUL II and for the New Sanctuary. After over one year of failed attempts, obviously intimidated by the fact that all major composers, from BACH to MOZART, VIVALDI, STRAUSS and BEETHOVEN, had written unforgettable music to those famous & inspired Latin words by the Gospel of Saint Luke - and even 'more obviously' due to MOTHER LUIGIA’s prayers and relentless pressure -, he was finally able to submit his new “MAGNIFICAT” that was premiered by THE MILLENNIUM CHOIR on Christmas Day 1999 in the Vatican. Such a memorable performance was a musical segment as well the main closing theme of the live worldwide telecast “APRITE LE PORTE A CRISTO (Open The Doors To Christ)” from the Vatican, while POPE JOHN PAUL II was opening the Holy Doors to the entire world during the GREAT JUBILEE for the THIRD MILLENNIUM.
