Tesla to build new Shanghai factory for Megapack energy storage product

Tesla is building a new factory in Shanghai solely for manufacturing the Megapack energy storage product, with construction starting in Q3 2023 and production starting in Q2 2024. The factory will produce 10,000 Megapack units per year, adding to Tesla's existing gigafactory in Shanghai.
