Trisha Kobur is a grad student at Washington state, who loves to embark on solo wilderness adventures. Trisha approaches Sykes bridge, and her anxiety sets in as it looks shaky and unstable. Suddenly, the bridge begins to shake even more, and Trisha feels paralyzed by her fears. Just when she feels like she can't go on, a woman dressed as a nurse donned with the name tag Margaret Lang, appears out of nowhere and comforts her, urging her to leave the bridge. Trisha is confused as she thought she was alone. Margaret guides her off the bridge just in time before the cables snap and the bridge collapses.

Trisha's parents arrive to comfort her and she checks in with the park ranger. Trisha mentions the nurse named Margaret Lang who helped her. Trisha's world is turned upside down when her parents confess that they adopted her when she was just six months old after her biological parents died in a plane crash. When asked why they felt the need to reveal this now, They tell her that her birth mother's name was Margaret Lang and she was a registered nurse.
