🇷🇴 Protests against the supply of Ukrainian grain in Romania

Farmers' protests against uncontrolled import of Ukrainian grain were held in large cities and border settlements of Romania today.

About seven thousand local residents took part in the rallies, expressing dissatisfaction with the sharp drop in prices after Ukraine was granted privileges for duty-free export of wheat stored in warehouses.

The protesters gathered on tractors and other agricultural machinery in front of state institutions, demanding that the authorities stop importing Ukrainian grain and support Romanian farmers.

Similar performances have taken place in recent weeks (https://t.me/rybar/45028 ) in many countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe, including Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

At the same time, the protests of Polish farmers have already led to positive changes. At the beginning of the week, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced a reduction in supplies by more than four times and promised to free up granaries for local farmers.
