Luminous Transient Events

Transient Luminous Events (TLEs), or flashes and lights, are phenomena that take place both inside and below thunderstorms and are visible above them. The formation and evolution of lightning and storms, as well as the reasons why hurricanes create various TLEs under various conditions, are all topics of research.
