Ty Dolla Sign has been making music for as long as he can remember. His father a member of Funk & Boogie group Lakeside Tyrone grew up hanging with Earth, Wind & Fire, The Isley’s, and Quiny Jones. With these kind of influencers surrounding him it’s no surprise play the bass guitar. Since then, he also learned to play drums, guitar, keyboards and the MPC. He lived all over L.A. growing up, everywhere from Crenshaw to Beverlly Hills, then at 17 he made the move to New York where he was working under 50 Cent. He would later produce for the likes of Timberland and Will.i.am before hooking up with YG. But he noticed that everyone was getting ahead in the game except him and he had a daughter to feed so that’s when he decided to make a name for himself.
