Non-profit think tank files lawsuit requesting immediate end to federal student loan payment pause

The Mackinac Center for Public Policy filed a lawsuit in Michigan’s federal court Friday requesting an immediate end to the federal student loan repayment moratorium. The free market think tank organization argues the student loan pause puts non-profits at a disadvantage since they use a federal debt relief program to recruit employees. Federal student loan repayments will likely resume later this year.
