Before Zoe Saldana was known for her bad ass, butt kicking roles in films like Guardians of the Galaxy, Columbiana and Avatar.
Before she became the dream girl for geeks everywhere when she filled out Lt. Uhura's U.S.S. Enterprise minidress in J.J. Abrams's 2009 Star Trek reboot.
Before Zoe Saldana was a spokesmodel for Avon and Calvin Klein.
Before she was married to artist Marco Perego and became a mom of twin boys.
Before Zoe Saldana received huge negative backlash for her portrayal as Nina Simone, which went viral.

Although born in New Jersey, Zoe tragically lost her father when she was a child and her family moved back to her fathers native country of Dominican Republic, as a kid she was a mesh of a girls girl getting involved in a prestigious dance academy mastering ballet and other forms of dance, but was also a little edgy and was into riding dirt bikes.. When she wasn’t doing this she would climb coconut trees where she would sit up there and do her homework - sounds like she was the right girl to cast in Avatar by the sounds of just that!

Her family didn’t have much money while living in the Domincan and it was decided that they would return to America, almost as soon she returned home her dance experience translated to work in theatre and soon after Television. Long before she became the Queen of sci-fi she was doing bit parts on Law & Order which soon turned into a career in film on and Centre Stage & Cross Roads. She also did a spicy scene with Mila Kunis where the two made out - the Mila Kunis seems to pick the hottests chicks.
