Israel Army's air strikes hit Lebanon, Gaza; 'Revenge' after biggest rocket salvo since 2006

Israel conducted rare airstrikes in Lebanon on Friday, in what came as a sharp escalation sparking fears of a broader conflict. Israel's 'retaliatory' strikes came after militants fired dozens of rockets from Lebanon into Israeli territory. Israeli Military also bombarded the Gaza Strip. They blamed Hamas terrorist group for launching the rocket barrage. The Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon is being described as the most serious border violence since Israel's 2006 war with Lebanon's Hezbollah militant group.
