Jeep has released the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler, a redesigned version of the current-generation JL Jeep Wrangler, which first debuted in late 2017. With the Ford Bronco now a significant competitor in the market, keeping up-to-date in the world of Jeep has become more important than ever.

One of the most noticeable changes is the updated grille, which is smaller and thinner but still wide enough for the seven slots to look proper. The grille is now designed to improve engine cooling and allows for a factory-installed 8,000-pound Warn winch, available on Rubicon models. The slots are black across the board, except for the Wrangler Sahara.

The exterior also includes a variety of new wheel options, ranging from 17-inch rims to 20s, with tires that can go up to 35 inches, depending on the package. Additionally, there are new top options available for both hard and soft roofs, including a Sky One-Touch powertop. A new windshield-integrated "stealth" antenna has been added for aerodynamic efficiency.

The interior of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler has a new standard 12.3-inch center touchscreen, replacing the previous smaller screen. This required the removal of the round climate control vents in the middle of the dash, replaced by small rectangular vents that blow hot or cool air from beneath the screen. The Uconnect 5 system is also now featured in the Wrangler, which brings all kinds of connected services to the vehicle, including the first factory-available Trails Offroad digital guide. This guide includes numerous well-known off-road trails built into the infotainment system and shows important trail waypoints, features of interest, and trail difficulty.

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler includes all the familiar Wrangler trim levels, with two new additions: the Sport S 4xe and the Rubicon X. The Sport S 4xe brings plug-in hybrid power to a lower-spec trim, featuring 20-inch wheels and a range of driver-assist systems. The Rubicon X is designed to offer more capability and tech to the upper levels of the Wrangler family, with 12-way power front seats, a nine-speaker Alpine stereo, Nappa leather seats, integrated off-road cameras, steel bumpers, full-time transfer case, 35-inch tires, and more.

The powertrain options remain the same for the 2024 models, including the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, 3.6-liter V6, 4xe 2.0-liter turbo plug-in hybrid, and the Rubicon 392 with its 6.4-liter Hemi V8. All models come with an eight-speed automatic, while the four-cylinder and V6 models can use a six-speed manual. The 2024 Wrangler models feature over 85 active and passive safety systems, including second-row outboard seatbelts with pretensioners and improved structural reinforcement for side impacts.

Underneath the vehicle is a new Dana 44 HD Full Float solid rear axle for Rubicon models, with a new 100:1 crawl ratio available. All 4xe hybrid models now get a Power Box battery pack with four 120-volt outlets for powering items on the go.

Jeep has announced that its entire lineup will be electrified by the end of 2025, hinting at potential changes coming in future iterations of the Wrangler.
