Kuril Islands Kamchatka

The Kuril Islands are a chain of volcanic islands located in the northern Pacific Ocean, stretching approximately 1,300 km northeast from Hokkaido, Japan to Kamchatka, Russia. They are administered by Russia, but Japan claims sovereignty over the southernmost islands.

Kamchatka is a peninsula located in the far east of Russia, extending into the Pacific Ocean. It is separated from the mainland by the Sea of Okhotsk to the west and the Bering Sea to the east.
