After a rally crash, drivers may have to drive a damaged rally car on public roads to reach the mechanics in the service area for repairs. This can be just as adventurous as the fast rally stages! Clips of top rally drivers driving a broken rally car on normal streets from WRC history.

Modern rallies have a new rule which states a rally car on public roads must have all 4 wheels in-place, and turning. All rallies cars must be road legal to drive in between the stages (the fast closed road sections) and to and from the service area
