Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The penalty for sin is death, but Christ died for us. God the Father sent His son Jesus to this earth. He was born of a virgin and He lived a perfect life. He never sinned like we do, not even once. This makes Him the perfect sacrifice. The Bible tells us the He died on a cross. When He was on that cross, He took every sin that you have ever done, and all the sins you will commit in the future, and He died on the cross for all of your sins. He was buried, and three days later He rose again from the dead.
