Why 4’ on center trusses?? (32x56 Pole Barn)

In this video, I tour a 32x56 pole barn/post frame in Ohio. After fire wreaked havoc, the owners wanted to use the existing pad, and build an barn extension to the existing layout. Our crew tore out the 6x6’s and replaced with new posts.

We are a builder that uses 4’ on center truss spacing on metal roof builds. Why? With 4’ on center truss spacing, more trusses are used, purlins are able to lay flat, and double top beam (yellow pine) headers are installed.

Stay tuned to more footage.
