Senate Bill 686 aka The Restrict Act ("TikTok Ban") Is The New Way of Censorship

A quick synopsis of Senate Bill 686 a.k.a. the RESTRICT Act.

The U.S. Senate is considering a totally unconstitutional bill that will result in Americans being put in jail. Republicans are pushing this bill too. Lindsey Graham is a co-sponsor on this bill. This is out of control, horrific censorship and spying on Americans. Congress will try to pass it but many lives will be destroyed before it can reach the Supreme Court to overturn it. We need to kill it before it gets out of committee. We all need to be vigilant and tell our Senators and Representatives to #killthebill.

The part that is scary, there is no undo button, once this passes. You can’t do anything because they can determine you are a criminal for any reason. There’s no way to undo it. Also, this is retroactive they can go back in time and look at your activity from the past.

If they pass this bill, all your data can be used against you in a court of law. If this bill passes, the government can demand your devices, read your text messages, GPS, etc.. and then prosecute you for ticky-tack crimes.

Right now, it’s all voluntary. You can turn off location data, use VPN, use secure email, get a burner phone. But, once they pass the law, it becomes mandatory to give them access. Then they can jailbreak all your electronic devices - your cell phone, laptop, webcam, your ring doorbell, even your old T-mobile sidekick from the 2000’s. It’s very dangerous. This is 1984 on steroids.
