If your prayer life has become difficult and dry, I would really ask you to consider why that might be. Think back and remember when you first received Jesus. Everything with Him was so pure and uncomplicated and as much as we must mature, we should never allow ourselves to lose the joy of simply enjoying time in His Presence. If all we ever do is work for God, we are nothing more than employees. No, our good works for Him should flow naturally from a place of meaningful fellowship from Him as His dearly beloved child.
