LISA FRANGS

Lisa obtained her Master of Music degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, London, in 2023. She is a Music Educator with 10 years' experience and currently lives in Cape Town, South Africa. Lisa recently joined the Marimba Jam Cares NPO Board of Directors, and advocates for Music to be used as a resource for positive socio-economic change.

LISA FRANGS is a dynamic music educator and lecturer, research practitioner, community collaborator, and arts sector advocate. Her subject knowledge is excellent and she uses contemporary theories and pedagogies in her approach to music education and policy making.

Lisa's growing interests are in understanding the social, economic, and educational benefits of music and the arts, both internationally and within South African society. Connecting music in areas as diverse as the health sector and human rights.

Lisa is highly skilled at planning, organising, and managing arts-related projects and events. She is well respected for her music education industry advice and collaborative efforts.

She has a strong desire to share her knowledge and to work with dynamic and forward-thinking organisations.

Her Master's thesis is entitled, "Community Music as a catalyst for positive socio-economic change in Cape Town, South Africa" (Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London).
