Canada: NDP MP Niki Ashton on health-worker shortage in First Nation communities – April 3, 2023

Niki Ashton (NDP deputy critic for Indigenous Services and MP for Churchill–Keewatinook Aski, Man.) calls attention to the health-care staffing shortage in remote or isolated First Nation communities. She is joined at the news conference on Parliament Hill by Chief Michael Yellowback (Manto Sipi Cree Nation), Chief Jordna Hill (Shamattawa First Nation), Grand Chief Walter Wastesicoot (Keewatin Tribal Council), Grand Chief Garrison Settee (Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak), and Grand Chief Cathy Merrick (Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs).
