IS IT A SIN TO BE SICK? / Pastor Bob's Coffee Break

Dear Pastor Bob: Is it ever God’s will for us to be sick?  Is sickness a trial that God uses to teach us something? Some Christians say that if we talk about sickness, then we are claiming sickness, and that we are in danger of becoming sick. They say there is power behind our words. So if someone says they might get sick during a flu season, then that person is claiming their sickness. Is this true? Also, some say that we need to rebuke sickness in Jesus name. Or be healed in Jesus name.  Some Christians even speak to their sickness by boldly commanding it to go away. These people say that all sickness is demonic, and that it has no place in our bodies. Furthermore, they say if God has to use sickness to teach us something then there must be something wrong with our faith. What do you think about these arguments?
