You DO NOT Need To Cycle Creatine
Creatine is a naturally occurring compound found in our bodies, and it plays a crucial role in energy production during short, high-intensity exercises like weightlifting or sprinting. Many people use creatine supplements to improve their athletic performance, build muscle mass, and enhance their overall physical performance.
While some people choose to cycle creatine, there is no clear evidence that it is necessary. Cycling involves taking creatine for a certain period, then stopping for a while before resuming. The idea behind cycling is to prevent your body from getting used to the supplement and potentially experiencing a decrease in its effectiveness over time.
However, research suggests that creatine supplementation can be safe and effective when used long-term without cycling. In fact, a study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition found that long-term creatine supplementation (up to 21 months) did not have any negative effects on markers of health or kidney function in healthy individuals.
Overall, there is no clear evidence that cycling creatine is necessary, and long-term supplementation appears to be safe and effective. However, as with any supplement or dietary change, it is always a good idea to speak with a healthcare provider before starting to use creatine or any other supplement.
