Compensators on Pistols - how much do they work? IDPA Carry optics study

Compensators on pistols are becoming more and more popular from brands like SIG Sauer, Shadow Systems, Zev Technologies, Bul Armory, Taran Tactical and others releasing pistols from the factory with compensators - but how much do they work? IDPA recently updated their rules to allow factory built compensated pistols - so we study it through that lens.
