Remodeling My Garage with Recycled Materials Start to Finish

In this video, I remodel my garage at my off grid cabin.

I began by insulating and sheeting all of the walls inside the garage. Using R-15 fiber glass insulation with a kraft face, I filled all the cavities between the 2x4 framed walls, then covered the insulation using recycled materials that were donated to me by several friends. Along with insulating and sheeting, I reorganized the shelving and did some trim work around the 2 windows of the garage.

Next, I show the step by step process of installing new LED lights in the rafters.

After that, I insulate and sheet the ceiling / attic. Using R-38 fiber glass insulation with a kraft face, I filled all the cavities between the 2x4 rafters, then covered the insulation using free drywall / sheetrock from my grandpa's garage. Along with insulating and sheeting, I reorganized the items inside the garage and plugged in my TV and PlayStation for a preview of how I want my garage to eventually be a man cave.

Finally, I finish sheetrocking the ceiling inside my garage at my off grid cabin. I also finish insulating the attic. I complete this phase of my garage remodel by building an access door to the attic, framing it with 2x4 lumber and trimming it with some leftover scrap wood.
