Matthew 11:25

At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

Luke 1: 46-48

My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.

Verse: For he has regarded the humility of his servant.

First Reading Hebrews 9:1-7

These seven verses are a description of the Mosaic tabernacle and is prefiguring the heavenly altar. This passage is read during the feasts of the Virgin Mary and Advent to describe the mystery of the Incarnation of the Son of God. Mary’s womb was prepared to be Christ’s tabernacle, the very dwelling place of God, He used Mary’s womb as His throne.

Very important detail here in vv. 2-3, right here in Hebrews is the inner veil. THE SECOND VEIL. This separates the holy place – (v. 2, THE SANCTUARY) from the most holy place – (v. 3, THE HOLIEST OF ALL), where the ark of the covenant is contained and only the high priest could enter and only once a year. According to the commentary of the Orthodox Study Bible- THE INNER VEIL from the locus of the liturgical practice of the old covenant – (see, vv. 6-10) and it reveals its imperfection. The people could not draw near to God – (please see, v.8). At His death, Christ solved this alienation – (Matthew 27:51).

See v.4: THE ARK OF THE COVENANT- it contained the relics, which were- THE POT OF MANNA, AARON’S ROD & THE TABLETS OF THE LAW.

See v. 5: God is enthroned upon the CHERUBIM; hence, God’s throne in Israel’s midst, THE MERCY SEAT, that has a Cherub on each side – (The Orthodox Christian altar is flanked by Cherubim).

Second Reading Luke 1:39-49, & v. 56

“Elizabeth Praises Mary, Mother of God” – “Mary Exults in God: The Magnificat”

John the Baptist leaping in the womb of Elizabeth is him prophesizing the presence of Christ while he himself was still in the womb. This fulfills the prophet Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you” – (Jeremiah 1:5- from my Orthodox Study Bible). John’s reaction while still I the womb deals a fatal blow to the ideas of many that abortion is justified because they say the fetus in not yet a person. Abortion is not justified at all please read scripture we live in a sick and twisted word that enjoy murdering the unborn it’s sickening to me.

Third Reading Psalm 5

See my video for the reading and breakdown with discussion over Psalm 5.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.”
