A public university with four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne on England's south coast is known as the University of Brighton. Its beginnings can be found in 1858, the year the Royal Pavilion's Brighton School of Art was inaugurated. In 1992, it was given university status. According to the Complete University Guide 2023, Brighton is among the top 50 universities in England for graduate results.
