Mehdi Hasan SHREDS Matt Taibbi’s Trump Indictment Claims

Matt Taibbi expresses concern about the precedent that it could set if former President Donald Trump were to be indicted. Taibbi said that if presidents think they will be chased into jail under thin pretexts as ex-presidents, they will try even harder to never leave office. Taibbi added that this is how autocracies are born.

A Twitter user responded to Taibbi, asking what had happened to him and that he should let the legal process play out before making any judgments. Taibbi responded by saying that he is not opposed to the legal process, but that he is concerned about the precedent that it could set.
